Medication Assisted treatment

The initial goal of methadone treatment is to free you from the withdrawal symptoms that occur when you stop taking a drug such as heroin, making it easier to avoid using the drug and to begin a recovery program. Methadone does not “cure” addiction. However, when used under the care of a licensed physician/treatment center it has been proven to be successful . While therapy and counseling are a crucial part of every recovery, when done along with MAT (Medication-Assisted-Treatment) the results are rewarding.

INDIVIDUAL/Group counseling

Both individual therapy and group therapy are extremely important in addiction recovery. Each one offers its own benefits while building on the other.  Yet both forms of counseling should continue long into your recovery. To stay sober, you must continue to learn about yourself and maintain a strong support network where you feel connected to others. research shows the quicker you let down your guard, be open to suggestions and work through your feelings, the faster you will succeed as an individual in your recovery.

The goal of engagement for our case management staff at Trinity is to reduce internal and external barriers to the individual’s treatment. The case manager can also provide support by assessing the need of the individual across a range of services, from medical interventions, family support as well as employment services. But ultimately, the goal of of our case management team is to help clients learn how to obtain those services and function more independently.
